Waiting on the gas company has really been a blessing. It has allowed us to get other things done, and also to go and get more equipment. We still lack 2 things and we will be done. For about 2 weeks I have been working on our menu and the pricing. That has been a big job for me, trying to figure out how much of everything we will need and then figuring out how much to charge for it. It has been tough but I think I have it done except for a few things here and there. We are planning to make brownies and marshmallows so of course we had to hunt for vanilla...think I have found it! I am ready to be open and see how well we do. Another thing I am excited about is that our little town is getting a newspaper again! So there are 2 things in Grandfield people are excited about, the town has been without a newspaper for a while and now people can stay up to date on what is going on in and around Grandfield. The Dairy Freeze is sponsoring the Birthday and Anniversary page and then we will have an ad too.
Going into our 13th week of renovating The Dairy Freeze we hope to accomplish: grouting the wall tile, getting the air conditioner vent installed, installing the water lines and finishing the bathroom. Sounds like a lot to do, but I think it can be done. Then maybe the next week we will get the floors mopped and cleaned, then start moving in some equipment and then receiving our first BIG order of supplies and getting organized!
I think that is about it for now, so keep your fingers crossed that we get that done.
